Whisk up this easy fried egg sandwich in five minutes using just one pan! Warning: breakfast will never be the same again.
Ingredients (for 1 sandwich):
2 slices of bread
3 eggs
Grated cheese
Butter
Salt
Filling of your choice – we used ham
Method (5 mins):
Add butter to a large wide-based frying pan over a high heat. Whisk together eggs & salt in a bowl, then once butter is melted, add to pan.
Dip both sides of each slice of bread in the egg, then lay bread in the pan end to end
When the egg has started to cook and come away from the sides of the pan (like an omelette), flip the bread and egg over in the pan as one.
Top with cheese and filling over the bread
Fold in the sides of the egg so it fits inside the bread, then flip one piece of bread over the other. Cut in half and serve – this is your easy egg sandwich!
